Innovation Award Laser Technology 2018
1st Place: Multi Spot Modules to improve joining processes due to tailored sport geometries
The winner of the Innovation Award Laser Technology 2018, which was presented by the Arbeitskreis Lasertechnik e.V. and the European Laser Institute ELI on 2 May 2018 at Aachen City Hall, is Dr. Axel Luft, former Sales Manager Global Automotive at Laserline GmbH. Dr. Axel Luft and his team took first place in the open competition with their innovation Multi-Spot-Module for the improvement of joining processes through customized spot geometries. The eight-member international jury selected three outstanding finalists from the numerous applications received. Around 370 guests attended the award ceremony in the historic setting of the Coronation Hall of Aachen City Hall.
